Adding Content to BDcraft

Adding Lore:
As eager as one might be to add their race of Slavic cheetah people to the server's lore, BDcraft does not allow players to add world lore beyond roleplay their characters have done in game, or backstory. 

HOWEVER,

In the case that a writer believes their lore, whether it be exposition for an event, expansion upon a culture, magick, materials or creature and so on, is a fit for BDcraft and can enhance the server, they may beseech the owner with the idea. You will save yourself a lot of time and heartache by asking first, such as “BD, will Furry lore ever be allowed on the server?” If the idea is thought to be good, they may expound upon the idea, and give the Owner a draft. If approved, they may write it, and the Owner will post it as part of the server’s lore, with credits to them! 

As a general rule, it is far more likely to be accepted if it is an expansion of current lore, rather than something large and new wholesale. 

Example of lore that would not be accepted by the Owner:
An entirely new race of elves that somehow were absent from all history books thus far, or need to be retroactively added

Example of lore that would be accepted by the Owner:
A new invention, discovered spell or uncovered metal. Or, an entirely new race of elves that are created by supernatural means, fully explained, that fill a recognized void in the niche of elves on the server.

For example, retroactively adding lore such as "My slavic group has been here since the 4th age actually" is never in the realm of possibility, because that is in the past. Instead, "my slavic group is derivative of a Volkan group who left the Dreadwater Swamps in the 5th age to settle in the base of the Khazgani Mountains" is acceptable, because it is current. 

New Flora and Fauna are easier to add to the server because they are easy to be able to incorporate retroactively, whereas new materials are more difficult as such affects history. Entire magicks or groups of people enter into the realm of not being feasible when it comes to adding to the server, as all of the current lore is tightly woven; adding a new nation suddenly in the 3rd age would require a great amount of lore rewrites.

Remember! This is a roleplay server. If your idea is not able to be represented mechanically in-game, that is okay! We can still add content even if the limitations of our medium restrain it from being perfect. 

The Borderlands:
A section of the lore and location on the lands of Volantis have been left bare-bones just for the purpose of future expansions. The Borderlands, sometimes referred to as the Hinterlands, are a wide stretch of land circling the Empire of Man, perfect for smaller settlements, towns and cities to be hand-waved into existence by new players who seek to.

Cool Clause:
In the case the lore being presented is amazingly cool, almost anything can be added.

Adding Other Content:
Other than new lore, there is a great deal that you as a player can contribute to the server!

• Custom music/songs
• Custom paintings
• Custom food/recipes/brews
• Custom textures/models/tooltips for currently existing items
• Custom textures/models/tooltips for items that lack them
• Player lore, forum posts, character development and interpersonal/intergroup story posts
• Stories by purely interacting with others
• Stories by running player-ran events
